What we have been up to lately...

It feels like so long since I have blogged though so much has happened in between! It's crazy too as right now I am full of inspo on the things I would love to write about but just can't seem to fit it in though I hope to have a full house tour coming up later on this week as after our feature in Northern Ireland home and Interiors I have had a few asking where to get the magazine and for some more details on the rooms. These passed few weeks have been a little hectic though I feel that I am starting to slot into the working mother role (or else I am just accepting the new level of busy).

The promotion that I said I wouldn't go for originally when I went back to work as I felt it was perhaps too much with the girls being so young, I am now going ahead with and back on the programme. I decided that the only person that was holding me back was myself and I am in work already and away from the girls so might as well give the extra push and put 110% in.

This week I completed 9 hours of interviews for technical knowledge which was challenging to say the least especially when you are just back in your role for a few weeks after 16 months out and baby brain isn't even a valid reason in workplace!🙄

I am so pleased to have passed the assessment but the juggle of prepping for it with the girls was hard to say the least. This week would not have been possible without my mum, from very early morning drop offs to collecting the girls fed and bathed she has been amazing, though this way of working is very much a one off... I felt like a part time mum this week and craved my girls so much! Thank goodness for great friends who happily talk to you on the drive home from work and keep your spirits up... They say find your tribe and I am so lucky to really have mine!

Days off have been exactly that, days spent with the family be it adventures or Disney movies in PJs.

Dungarees are now sold out but similar Here top Here and slides Here

Last Sunday we went to the NI golf open at Galgorm. There was great entertainment for the kids though we never got near any of the golf (ok I was there for the food really so can't say I was disappointed!)

My dress can be found Here but be quick only a few left as its in the sale!

After Thursday I was celebrating no matter what the result though I quickly found that as I rarely have more than 1 glass of wine I have turned into a real light weight! (Major fuzzy head the next day!)

On Saturday we took a trip to Portrush as the weather was beautiful, I said it a few times that day but we could have been anywhere on holiday, dining outside and having a paddle afterwards... What more could we ask for? When both sets of nana and papas were there in their caravan/ campervans it was the icing on the cake for the girls!

  • Annie's romper and bonnet can be found Here and shoes Here

  • Bellas dress can be found here and shoes Here

  • My top can be found here and similar trousers Here

On Sunday morning we spent a few hours organising the house again (to say it has been neglected is an understatement) and Colin got stuck into a little up-cycling  project changing a tv unit that was given to us by friends who no longer had a use for it, into a tv table for the play room.

Some grey wood paint, mis matched knobs, adding a shelf with a sheet of mdf and old tester pots of farrow and ball paint that we had in the garage to add a mix of colours and a little fun he created this. Pleased with it is an understatement! It's perfect for the playroom and cost buttons too.

From having a girly afternoon on Friday with Bella getting our nails done and going for a coffee (baby chino) then brunch with Colin and the girls after a relaxed pj morning on Sunday this weekend has been good for the soul and exactly the tonic I needed after a hectic week.

Have a great week everyone!
